Driver Experience Courses
Several preserved railways run driver experience courses for those who want to spend a day learning how to drive a heritage mainline diesel locomotive. The Class 50 Alliance Ltd, together with the Severn Valley Railway, run such courses using their locomotives on a number of days each year.
The first event in the 2011 calendar ran using locomotive 50035 Ark Royal hauling a short consist of six carriages between Bewdley and Bridgnorth.
