50007 Sir Edward Elgar runs round at Leicester (September 2009)
2009 Great Central Railway
50007 Sir Edward Elgar attended the September 2009 diesel gala at the Great Central Railway. The locomotive provided turns from Loughborough to Leicester and the return. It was the first time a Class 50 had visited this particular preserved railway and certainly the first time a member of the class had traversed this particular section of track. The visit to this railway was the tenth preserved railway that 50007 has made an appearance.
